G'day mate!!




호주에서 지낸지 거의 3년이 넘어가는 듯 한데


오늘 그 "그다이 마이트"의 정체에 대해서 듣게 되었어요.




내겐 두명의 호주 친구가 있는데 디피카와 에이미예요.



디피카


디피카와는 알게된지 거의 1년이 넘어가는 것 같아요

그냥 호주사람. 시드니 중에서도 가장 시드니 스러운 곳에서 산 호주인. 하지만, 참
호주인 스럽지 않게 정이 많아요. 보통 여기서 만난 그 어느 누구보다도 정이 많아서
내가 호주생활에 재미를 붙이게 만들어준 장본인이랍니다.
많은 것을 알고 있으며 설명도 들을 수록 맛깔나게 해주는 특유의 매력이 있는데
참 예뻐요 아. 호주인이지만 가족은 인도사람이며 싱가폴에서 자라서
특유의 외국인 발음을 잘 캐치해요. 덕분에 제 거지같은 영어 발음도 잘 알아들어줘서
너무나 고마워요. 호주 생활중 제가 찾은 가장 멋진 보물같은 그런느낌이예요. 똑똑하고 배려심이 남들보다 한발 앞서고 배고플때마다 날 먹여줘 생명을 연장시켜주곤 해요ㅎ 그럴때마다 제발나랑 결혼해서 평생 맛난거 만들어 달라고 얘기하면 퉁명스럽게 "다이아 반지 갖고와"라고 이야기 하는 시크한 여자랍니다.



에이미.

디피카의 베프. 둘은 서로 베프인지 7년이 넘어간다고 하네요.
가족이 모두 중국사람이지만 에이미 또한 호주인.
중국어를 알아들 을 수는 있지만 말하는건 어려워하고 별로 안좋아해요. 자신이 중국어를 할때면 발음이 이상해서 바보같이 느껴진다고 싫어라 하더라구요. 영어가 모국어나 다름없다로 말할 수 있는데  에이미는 내가 만난 중국아이중에 가장 사랑스럽고 참 여성스러운 아이 같아요 그리고 요즘에 요리에 빠져있는데 요리 못한다면서 음식을 10분만에 후딱 만들어 내는 능력자랍니다ㅎㅎ 디피카와 에이미는 둘이 참 많이 닮은듯 한게
이 두 아이 모두 사람을 참 좋아라 하며 주변사람을 따뜻하게 만드는 그런 분위기가 있어서 같이 있으면 편안해요. 타지에서 생활하다보면 언어 장벽이 가장 큰 스트레스겠지만 그보다는 인간관계가 더 힘든것 같아요. 그렇게 힘들어하다 이런 친구들 만나니깐 참 좋아요^^











아무튼,


내가 "good day mate!"그다이 마이트라고 말하자마자

완전 넘어갈 듯이 웃으며 "GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" 라고 말하는데 말하는 저까지

빵터졌어욬ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ







절대 어디가서 쓰지말라며, 아니 쓰고싶으면 쓰라몈ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ








이 good day mate는 그냥

정말 시골 아저씨들이 가끔 쓸법한 아니면  영화에서 호주인임을 알리고 싶을때나
쓰는 그냥 상투적인 말  혹은 느낌일 뿐이지 보통 대게 안쓴다고 하더라구요






진짜 호주 처음왔을때 만나는 친구마다 저렇게 인사 해보려다 늘 까먹다 아예 이말 자체를 잊어버리고 있다가 갑자기 생각나서 물어본건데










결론은,

아이들 말로는 무척많이 비추천 한다고 하네요ㅋㅋ 그런데 저는 쓰고싶으면 한번 말해보는 것도 괜찮을 듯 해요. 욕도 아니고ㅎㅎ 호주 친구들 반응에 같이 웃고 더 친해질 수도 있고 또 호주에서만 느낄 수 있는 즐거움? 그런.. 나쁘지 않잖아요^--^헤헤










I've been lived in Australia for almost 3 years and



today I just I knew about something from Deep and Amy




(Actually I will keep talking about them a lot so I want to explain about them a little bit.

"Deepika" she born in Australia. simply, she is a Sydney girl.

but her family root is based on Indonesia and all the family members were grown up in Singapore so she experienced lots of international people that's why she is the only person who understand my bad English pronunciation. and she is a really really cute girl! and you don't know that she is just amazing. Cute. Smart. Best chief. good sense of humor and SO KIND. Oh. and the Best chief thing. she can cook all over the world's foods I mean really all kinds of foods and even better!! whenever she makes something she shares her food to everyone and it keeps me alive in Australia So I always propose her and then I said  "please feed me forever!!" and then she always said
"Bring a diamond ring"
hahahahahaha she's just so precious♡


"Amy" she was born in Sydney so she is just a  Sydney girl like Deepika and she is one of Deepika's best friends so that's why I knew her recently and she is the BEST lovely girl  I've ever seen in Australia!! Especially her English pronunciation is so lovely so sometimes I mimic her :D and she also really really cute as well.
Recently she is just interested in making foods! there is a thing. she is always saying that I can't cook at all but she cooks her dishes in a few minute not a fast food. It is a real and healthy detox food. Like 10 minutes later the dinner is ready like miracle Ta-daa~ And I am guarantee that it is really delicious. but for me when I make something I spend lots of time on my foods like more than 1 hour.
t......t...ta.. tah..d.......dd......daaaaaaa!!!-_-; seriously Amy is an amazing girl.






when I spoke the word "good day mate" which I heard & learned in Korea and they were laughing at me a lot! ( actually I asked lots of stupid questions to them sorry D and A )


Amy and Deep just started to keep saying



"ahahahahahahah good day mate!! SO GROSSSSSSSS!!!!"


and Deep said
" it's very specific to certain community in Australia and farmers who lived in rural area they may speak the word but normally it's just like stereo movie things"

and they said

"Don't say the word NEVER!! oh~ you can say it. Ju~st try to say it to other people♡"





Actually I really wanted to say it to Australian friends when I first came to Australia

But I forgot all the time so I forgot the word "G'day Mite"




Briefly, most Australians do not speak the word
they say just "Hello and Hi or Hey"






so, I recommend especially Koreans who like me,
you would be better not to say the sentence!! or just try it and
enjoy the reaction for fun♡
Because there is no place to experience about it or say "G'day mite"
You only can Do it in Australia
